New package design for Blistex®
The Blistex® package has been given a new, photo-realistic appearance. We wanted to highlight the actual, fresh ingredients—cucumbers, melons, coconut, mint, and so on—inside the lipsticks instead of the drawings that were previously part of the box design.

CREATIVE INSIGHT:
The previous package design was based on illustrations; the new design shows realistic macro-photos illuminating the ingredients in the product. For example, lipstick that has cucumber extract in it now has a realistic macro-photo of a slice of cucumber on the packaging. Or lipstick that has coconut extract in it now has a close-up of realistic coconut. We made the packaging more attractive and enticing. Proof that the new concept works is that the new packages are selling 16% better than the old ones.
